How could I? You’re world is far different from mine it’s um... It sounds like an amazing place at times, and that it’s on a whole other path than my own? Even though it’s an era prior to my world, it almost sounds like it’s quite ahead in some ways.

[His hands are moving more animatedly as he speaks, the habit getting away from him again.]

You talk of speaking rings, and magic pictures? I don’t uh— I don’t know the process, but it sounds far less messy and hazardous. There’s so many wires, and smoke, and chemicals used in the inventions of my own world?

A very different path. Perhaps I can convince Kell to display the elements for you some time. He is more impressive than I shall ever be.

[Oh, there are their own messes, their own problems. But there is good and bad and one takes both as they come.]

[He responded with a light tone, though broke off when Rhy pulled them to a stop with a little surprise.

Llewellyn’s expression softens a touch when Rhy asks permission again, it was very... thoughtful. Llewellyn’s eyes glance around, still taking in the world around them a bit even though this was not his own world and it was safe. Paranoia satisfied, he responded a moment later with a shy little smile.]

Mm... Yes, you may if you want.

[Well, what if his talents are just in making connections to other people? Rhy smiles and moves forward, pulling Watts into his arm and pressing their lips together. Who needs words when they can both speak this language?]

[As someone who loved languages, and was adept at picking them up... This was decidedly one that he would like to get more used to, to be able to please and express his feelings through it if only to enjoy the closeness. To feel wanted for a time.

Gently returning the kiss, Llewellyn let himself relax lightly into the man’s arms, his own coming to draw around him.]

[Poor Pretzel, left forgotten in his leash. And doomed to it for a time as Rhy tilts his head to a more pleasing angle, his tongue flicking quickly over the other’s lips in a plea for something deeper.]

[Pretzel has no idea what these two are up to. Humans why must you push your faces together in such an absurd manner? Once he gets bored with the immediate area, and frustrated with the small range the leash allows him to explore, he would have choice words for them both.

Llewellyn leans forward, lower to make it easier and more comfortable as Rhy tilted his head. The silent request is soon granted as the man’s lips parting as he pulled him closer, happy to deepen the kiss and to please.]

[Well, Pretzel, it was pleasing to do so. And Rhy had no intention of stopping. Not when he could pull Watts bodily against him, the kiss ramping up in energy with the unstated but clearly spoken consent.]

[Pretzel thinks that treats would be more pleasing, silly humans.

Llewellyn was only encouraged when pulled in closer, he liked this. Being pressed against someone, feeling grounded in a moment rather than his thoughts carrying him away. His hands roamed, before coming to rest on Rhy’s hips, a low, pleased hum in the back of his throat as he returned the deepened kiss firmly.]

[No, Watts, that isn’t roaming. Roaming is the way Rhy’s hands slip down to ghost over Watt’s legs, and up toward his ass.]

[And that was certainly a lesson learned, his breath catching a little in surprise as he felt Rhy’s hands dip low and come up. It was a touch overwhelming to feel the other’s hands on him, feeling as though he were truly wanted, but still overwhelming in a way he decidedly liked. Kept him present, distracted from his usual clumsy chatter and nerves. Want stirring him forward, tongue brushing against Rhy’s and hands grasping just a little more firmly. Desire to somehow please in return growing stronger.]

[Oh there was so much to teach the other man. Rhy hummed happily before pulling back from the kiss.]

Oh my you are going to be a quick study. You must have delighted your instructors.

[It takes him a moment to respond, trying to organize his thoughts a little. There was a decidedly shy, but happy flush that spread at the compliment.]

Am I? Well... you are an excellent teacher. [He paused though, brows raising a little with a tiny smile at the idea that he was a good student at all.] Hm... Not really, I was the sort to question everything. Apparently that’s uh— not proper?

[Llewellyn shrugged slightly, it wasn’t as though he had grown up in a situation where he had tutors or anything more than the basic education of his time. He hadn’t even been able to attend college due to his social status, everything the man had learned beyond the standard was self-taught. As it stood, if it weren’t for the landlady allowing him to stay he would have ended up in a boys home and lent out to workhouses or quarries.]

I presume it has something to do with the teacher not knowing how to explain your question or being biased in a way that makes them believe they are right and to question them is disrespectful?

From my experience, that is very true. Tieran used to say I asked the most interesting questions, for he didn't always know the answer.

[Which wasn't a bad thing. It was important that a royal learn to acknowledge that he didn't always have the answer.]

[He smiled a little at that, Llewellyn had a feeling he’d like Rhy’s teacher more than those he’d known.]

This Tieran? Sounds like a good teacher, especially if he was willing to admit he didn’t know an answer.

[He had been the best teacher. The absolute best. And Rhy missed the man so deeply.]

He was the highest of all priests in my world. Though I have found that 'priest' means something different to us than it does to those of other worlds.

Does it? I suppose that makes some sense... Things differ so much between our worlds, and other worlds. There must be words that have evolved to mean different things as well.

Perhaps there are. It is just... My culture does not believe in a higher power beyond magic itself. And we commune with it daily. What I've heard of religions in the Gray world... it makes so little sense.

Mm... I believe I remember you mentioning this once before. Given how many religions that can be found in my world compared to that, I can see why it would be confusing? I’m sure there are other worlds that are similar though, or those that have many other religions altogether.

[He would also admit that there were many who claimed to understand it that didn’t despite professing to.]

Yes...? There are quite a few. Many have different mm... variations as well. There are many that I know very little about, and some I’ve been trying to know better. I could... probably try to explain better if you ever wanted to know more. If we went to the library where we had books to pull from for reference, perhaps.
