[Of course he is, they were discussing work before and Llewellyn has only been on... one or two dates before, and those were during the days he was trying to be something he wasn’t.

He’s learning though, brow furrowing for a moment as he turns the other’s words over in his head until they finally click. Oh... His smile is small, and slightly clumsy as he responded.]

[Llewellyn certainly hopes the light flush he feels on his face isn’t visible, but the words are kind and certainly make him feel flattered. It’s hard for him to not feel strongly about some things, especially to hear a positive opinion of him. Sad, perhaps, but it’s a rare thing.

Smiling a little, he shifts his hold on Pretzel’s lead to lead them around a corner.]

Really...? I’m mm... glad. Though I confess, your company does put me in a rather pleasant mood. You are certainly uh— better conversation than Pretzel is on walks.

[Of course it's visible. And Rhy feels a point of pride over having brought that color up.]

[Yes. Sometimes he actually does talk to the dog, if only because sometimes he needs to talk to work something in his head out.]

[It’s a very weak attempt at a joke. He’s certain it is, as he gestures to the dog trotting along ahead of them.

But... he’s anxious when it comes to the thought and opinions of him. Specifically the thoughts and opinions of someone he thought of well. They have not been known to be favourable in the past. Llewellyn could very easily list the traits that people found undesirable, and there are many more he’s strove to improve upon over the years.]

[The joke earns a serious chuckle, Rhy shaking his head. The man is so amusing.]

Then I shall focus on his owner. Who has lips like satin warmed by the lazy summer sun.

[Llewellyn looks a little relieved when Rhy actually chuckles, relaxing a little as if that had been a small victory, and avoided potential disaster.

Then Rhy circled back to continue the original line of thought. Oh... That was not what he’d expected at all. A brow raises as he glances over at the other man, somewhat hesitant. His smile is clumsy but hopeful as he tried to find his words again.]

Is that... is that so? [He looked down, quietly trying to ignore the heat in his face again.] That’s quite the compliment... Especially from someone I’ve uh— always thought looked like the model in a fine painting.

I admit, I have posed for the like. I believe the results tend to be VERY fun.

[He'd pose for one for Watts if the man wanted, but he didn't think there was much chance that it would be asked for.]

[No, he probably wouldn’t have. Llewellyn was not particularly confident with artistic endeavours. He liked to admire, but he’d never been much good at creating.

He could picture Rhy posing for a painting though, and smiles a little.]

Mm... I can’t say that I’m surprised to hear that. I imagine you were an excellent model.

Yes. I've truly noble features that others may wish to immortalize in paint. But I'd rather the company of a good man to the sitting still all day.

Hm... I can’t say that I blame you. I’m sure the paintings were very striking, but uh... I can’t imagine sitting still long enough for a portrait, could barely sit still long enough for a photograph the couple times I’ve had to.

[His brow furrowed a bit as he glanced down at Pretzel again. He wasn’t sure if he counted as a good man, but Rhy wouldn’t have to worry about sitting around all the time if he was in his company.

[Rhy looks to the other, frowning. Strange how he's send each other here, and the name has meant nothing to him.]

[Llewellyn paused at the question, step slowing a bit absently as he tried to recall when the first photograph had been taken. Then again, Rhy’s world was one of magic, while his own was more about invention. Perhaps cameras simply hadn’t been created.]

Um... A photograph is a picture, an image captured by a machine. I... Don’t fully understand the process, Detective Murdoch is more of an expert on the matter. I’ve watched him develop the negatives to create pictures once or twice though for an investigation.

[He frowned a bit, wishing he had been able to follow the man’s explanation a little better, if only to be able to explain the process to Rhy. Although he couldn’t be blamed entirely, Murdoch wasn’t particularly good at explaining things so much as going off on long tangents.]

But uh— the process involves standing very still to avoid the image coming out blurred. I’ve had my picture taken... twice that I can remember?

Oh, we create images like that for message boards via magic.

[Llewellyn smiled a little, glad that there was at least something similar for Rhy to comparison to.]

Ah— Yes, I had wondered if there might be a magical equivalent of some sort.

When I arrived, the communication system confused me. So like Voice Rings but different as well. Or connected message boards.

[Rhy sighs and pauses to try and clear his head.]

This place disturbs me. Other than Kell you're the closest there is to home. You and Sansa.

There’s still a lot that I’m trying to learn as I go, but everything is connected by wires and is much larger or bulkier in my time. This makes all the innovations and invention that my world has been excited about seem uh— very primitive by comparison?

[He smiled a little, sympathetic at the notion of how far from home a world like this could feel. ]

I admit, your company has been a comfort to me as well? I know that you understand how strange it is and how easy it is to get lost in all the strangeness that many others seem to just understand easily.
